Parent Orientation Programme
“A parent is a teacher at home and a teacher is a parent in school and the child is the centre of our universe.”
Studies show, that when families are involved in the education of their children in positive ways, the children maximize on their untapped potentials and demonstrate a positive attitude and behavior. At Seth Anandram Jaipuria School we completely understand the importance of a child’s growth and the role of parents along with teachers, wherein we foster the child’s learning through joint efforts of all.
Seth Anandram Jaipuria School Tarna Varanasi Campus organized its first Parents’ Orientation Programme on April 7, 2019 where the parents were made acquainted with the journey of 114 eventful and successful years of Seth Anandram Jaipuria Group of Schools and milestones achieved.
The school management introduced their dream school to the parents, a school that aims at setting an approach to learning that incorporate not just inquiry, research and analytical thinking but also, building a sense of social and environmental responsibilities integrated in the curriculum so as to build morally, ethically and technically sound citizens, to bring a change in the world. The Chairman of SAJS, Varanasi, Shri Laxmikant Pandey further requested for the constant support of the parents to take forward the partnership in a meaningful way.
Parents were made aware of the pedagogy and concept of integrated curriculum, various learning spaces in the school and other unique features like splash pad, multiple interest activity room, science park, music garden and introduction of logical thinking at the primary school level through Cubetto, the wooden robot.
It was an honour to have Mr. Vineet Shukla COO, SAJS address the gathering. Sir enlightened the gathering by walking through the vision and philosophy of the school which aims to nurture happy and confident children by providing child centric learning and not only promoting creativity, environmental sensitivity and academic excellence and but also inculcating the spirit of lifelong learning for children to become effective change agents.
Parents were glued till the end to attend a wonderful session on Positive Parenting by Mr. Vinod Malhotra, Director CRC, SAJS, the Chief Guest of the day. Sir highlighted the importance of parents in the complete development of a child. Good parenting is all about bringing up the children in such a way that they become happy and satisfied adults who are productive for the society and for the country at large. It is an approach that fosters the values like honesty, integrity, confidence, kindness, empathy and self-respect. Children must be provided with an environment wherein they can imbibe curiosity to learn, motivation to try, and the desire to achieve. An environment which gives freedom to the children to experiment also helps protect them from developing anxiety and depression. Children have their own fears and inhibitions, and it is the responsibility of parents to support their children and help them overcome those fears and anxieties. Although raising a happy, healthy child is one of the most challenging jobs a parent can have — and also one of the most rewarding. A Hug says you matter to me and a simple hug to your child may make big difference. It is very important for parents to mix love proposals in their parenting styles because the modest mind of the child needs it the most.
Parents were much benefited and were appreciative about the information shared through the event.
